Set on a quiet country lane, with its private tree-lined drive, Bucks Farm is perfect for those who like their self-catering holidays just a little off the beaten track, offering beautiful farm stays in Suffolk. Whether you're planning a family-friendly holiday or a quiet getaway, we have five good-sized cottages available for short breaks or longer stays, with facilities including an indoor swimming pool and farm animals to feed. Our farm cottages in Suffolk provide a perfect retreat in the countryside while also being close to the coast.
"What a brilliant location to enjoy some R&R.....loads of footpaths from the door, offering amazing scenery and pretty villages."
"Our 2 year old very much enjoyed feeding the animals, the pool and all of the toys. Such a great
place for children (and adults too !)"
Ideally located for great days out:
When you are ready to explore further, the farm is only ten miles from a wonderful stretch of Suffolk coastline that includes the towns & beaches of Southwold, Walberswick, Dunwich & Aldeburgh, as well as Minsmere RSPB Nature Reserve. Or enjoy a visit to Snape Maltings for music events, antiques, some wonderful 'homes & gardens' shopping, or simply walking along the boardwalks through the salt marshes, after a drink or a meal in one of the cafe's and restaurants.
For the adventurers:
There is also plenty of excitement to be had nearby at a number of animal and activity parks, such as Bewilderwood and Africa Alive amongst others. The medieval castles are also great fun for a visit - either to the coast at Orford with space to roam from top of the tower down to the dungeon - or head inland to the pretty market town of Framlingham to see Ed Sheeran's 'Castle on the Hill' where you can walk round the ramparts and enjoy lots of activities. Across the county border, the Norfolk Broads offer a multitude of activities including boat hire, sailing, boast trips and wildlife.
Secluded - not stranded !
And despite the feeling of being in the middle of nowhere - Bucks Farm is just two miles from the market town of Halesworth, where there are plenty of shops, pubs, coffee shops, restaurants, a large and well stocked supermarket, as well as regular local produce markets. It also has a well-established Arts Centre - The Cut, and a mainline railway service from Ipswich connecting to London Liverpool Street station.
